A somewhat random pairing today (maybe both with a whiff of Dylan influence?).
On this day back in 1965, the album "Help!" was released in the U.K. (the inferior soundtrack album was released a week later in the U.S.). It was the Beatles' fifth studio album. A song that appeared on both the U.K. release and the soundtrack album was the John Lennon composition "You've Got to Hide Your Love Away." Over the years it's been covered by the Beach Boys, The Silkie, and Waylon Jennings (!) among others.
Our other song is by Aussie singer- songwriter Courtney Barnett, "Rae Street," the lead single from her forthcoming album, "Things Take Time, Take Time." Hope you enjoy.
