Singer / songwriter Doechii (née Jaylah Ji'mya Hickmon) has had a stellar 2024 -2025 season, winning the Grammy for best rap album for "Alligator Bites Never Heal," the BET award for best female hip hop artist and the American Music Award for social song of the year for "Anxiety." She drew national attention days ago when she denounced the Malignant Fascist's heavy handed military response to immigration protests in Los Angeles at the BET awards. Here's her award-winning song "Anxiety" which samples the 2011 hit by Gotye and Kimbra's "Somebody That I Used To Know," with some creative film work and great choreography.
