Paramount/ CBS Pulls Plug On Colbert

The pusillanimous bribe- paying corporate ho's at Paramount/ CBS have decided to take "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert" off the air in May 2026.  Colbert made the announcement at the opening of his show last night:

It's hard not to imagine this not being a political decision by the suits at Paramount/ CBS, who infamously caved to the Malignant Fascist in paying him $16 million to settle a meritless lawsuit involving a "60 Minutes" interview with Kamala Harris.  The settlement was in order to obtain the MF-controlled Federal Communications Commission's approval of their merger with Skydance Media, owned by David Ellison, son of billionaire MF campaign contributor Larry Ellison.

Colbert's show was #1 in its time slot and had been the only late night show gaining audience this year.  Was this an unannounced part of the $16 million settlement, or just these corporate weasels seeking to hide from politically- tinged content?  Because it sure doesn't seem to be for a "financial" reason.

It's important to remember who stood up in these times and who didn't.
