With former Trump mouthpiece/ Deputy AG Todd Blanche doing the "interviewing," does anyone else smell a rat here?
Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche said he is "reaching out" to Jeffrey Epstein associate Ghislaine Maxwell to find out what else she knows about the late tycoon and convicted sex trafficker.
In 2022, the British socialite was sentenced to 20 years in prison for her role in helping recruit underage girls for sexual abuse.
As the Trump administration attempts to draw a line under the Epstein scandal that continues to engulf the president, Blanche wrote on X that “for the first time, the Department of Justice is reaching out to Ghislaine Maxwell to ask: what do you know?"
“President Trump has told us to release all credible evidence,” he added in a statement. “If [Ghislaine] Maxwell has information about anyone who has committed crimes against victims, the FBI and the DOJ will hear what she has to say."
He said he anticipated meeting with Maxwell “in the coming days.”
Democrats should demand a presence at all such meetings with Maxwell to try to head off any deals being made to, oh say, secure her freedom by covering up Trump's interactions with Epstein and his underage victims. Better yet, get her in a hearing room under oath in front of the cameras.* Is any of that likely to happen? Nah.

*BONUS II: House Oversight Committee has subpoenaed Maxwell to appear for a deposition. Will wonders never cease?
