We're still feeling nostalgic again for the greatest year in rock history, 60 years ago. The top 40 this week in 1965 had such gems as The Gentry's "Keep On Dancing" (#34), The Miracles' "The Tracks Of My Tears" (#31), James Brown's "Papa's Got A Brand New Bag" (#28), The Castaways' "Liar, Liar" (#26), The Beach Boys' "California Girls" (#19), The Lovin' Spoonful's "Do You Believe In Magic?" (#17), The Animals' "We Gotta Get Out Of This Place" (#13), Bob Dylan's "Like A Rolling Stone" (#7), and Ramsey Lewis Trio's "The 'In' Crowd" (#6).
Here are three favorites from the top 10 for that week: The Yardbirds' "Heart Full Of Soul" (#9), We Five's "You Were On My Mind" (#3), and Barry McGuire's "Eve Of Destruction" coming in at #1. Hope you enjoy.
