The deranged Malignant Fascist has always been focused on grievances from the past, attending to some narcissistic wound or insult that hurt his false self-image. Many believe that he ran for President originally because of President Obama's public mockery of him at the 2011 White House Correspondents Dinner in front of the celebrities and politicians that he wanted to feel accepted by. That experience triggered his simmering hatred of Obama and his desire to trash his legacy and singular domestic achievement, the Affordable Care Act, once he had the opportunity, which continues to this day.
Now, while grievance still animate him, he wants a "legacy." When he slaps his name on public buildings, falsely brags that he brokered "peace" over recurring skirmishes between neighboring countries, and extorts absurd trophies and medals, he's desperate to create a legacy that includes more than just his 34 felony convictions, bungling of the COVID-19 pandemic, and record of sexual assault (not to mention what's in the Epstein - Trump files). His monstrous Marie Antoinette ballroom bribery project that resulted in the destruction of the historic East Wing of the White House is another example of his urge to manufacture a legacy (and something that a Dem candidate for President should pledge to tear down to rebuild the East Wing). So, why the obsession with legacy just 11 months into his final term? David Rothkopf, speaking on the Daily Beast podcast, says it's because the failing MF sees his demise on the horizon:
“If you’re watching his Band-Aids and you’re watching his cankles, the number of things he wants to name after himself, I think, is a good indicator of how ill he thinks he is, because this is just him looking for some legacy. It’s just him saying, ‘Well, that could make me immortal.’ Because I think he realizes that he is shuffling off this mortal coil sooner rather than later.”
The MF's recent musings about whether he can get into heaven (bwahahaha) are another sign that he's seeing "the end of his story" as Rothkopf put it. His frequent public snoozing, his recent MRI, which is not part of "preventative care," and the bruises and band aids on his hand (likely indicating he's getting an IV for some illness) are symptoms of something more serious, which he and his lying staff won't disclose. In any event, we're not expecting a miraculous turn around in the MF's health as he nears 80 years old. He apparently sees the same thing.
