Georgia On His Mind

Sen. McNasty likes to talk about the conflict this summer between Russia and Georgia over the contested area of South Ossetia. He wants people to think that he was a champion of freedom in the region. But, as we see, he was far more involved in inciting the government of Georgia in provoking an incident with the Russians, who were acting as "peacekeepers" in South Ossetia (big mistake). His foreign policy advisor, Randy Scheunemann, was a paid lobbyist for the Georgian government, and had an interest in bringing the conflict to the attention of America. It's a story of miscalculation, arrogance and stupidity.

In other words, it's got McNasty written all over it.

Dumbya's Great Adventure

With the mounting conflict threatening to break into all out war between Russia and Georgia, it's good to know that Dumbya is enjoying "mixing" with the women's beach volleyball team in Beijing. Not that his involvement would be welcomed by the international community. They'd prefer that he stay where he is.
