Trump Renews Attacks On McCain

Very Stable Genius and con man Donald "Rump" Trump's soft little fingers were busy this morning as he twit-tweeted his anger (for the second day in a row) at the late Sen. John McCain's role in the Steele dossier's release.

What a classy tweet from Cadet Bone Spurs, someone who dodged the draft in wartime, courtesy of a medical excuse arranged by his daddy Fred, falsely claiming that Rump suffered from "bone spurs." All the while Naval flyer McCain suffered torture in a North Vietnam prison. Note the shot at McCain's academics at the Naval Academy from someone who won't release his own poor academic records. He spent two undergraduate years at Fordham University, where he apparently didn't distinguish himself, if one semester's record is any indication:

(found in responses to Rump's tweet)

A former Wharton School of Business professor, the late William Kelley, has said of Rump, "Donald Trump was the dumbest goddam student I ever had." That statement should surprise no one, given his more recent record as a failed, multi-bankrupted businessman and his incompetence in office.

One final note: the "Fake Dossier" that the Russian asset mentions has racked up a pretty good record of accuracy regarding people, places and times concerning the Russiagate investigation. Not perfect, but good. But smartypants needs to discredit it because it has evidence of his various betrayals of the U.S. in service to his immeasurable greed.

BONUS:  The silence of Sen. Lindsey "Huckleberry" Graham, McCain's "friend," is being righteously skewered on Twitter.

Ohr: Russian Intelligence Said They Had Trump "Over A Barrel"

No wonder un- indicted co- conspirator Donald "Rump" Trump has been working hard to smear Associate Deputy AG Bruce Ohr:
A senior Justice Department lawyer says a former British spy told him at a breakfast meeting two years ago that Russian intelligence believed it had Donald Trump “over a barrel,” according to multiple people familiar with the encounter.
The lawyer, Bruce Ohr, also says he learned that a Trump campaign aide had met with higher-level Russian officials than the aide had acknowledged, the people said.
The previously unreported details of the July 30, 2016, breakfast with Christopher Steele, which Ohr described to lawmakers this week in a private interview, reveal an exchange of potentially explosive information about Trump between two men the president has relentlessly sought to discredit.  (our emphasis)
We won't be surprised if that kompromat "barrel" is filled with (at a minimum) laundered Russian mob money and mob loans underpinning Trumpworld, concomitant evidence of bank/ wire fraud, evidence of conspiracy to influence the 2016 election ("collusion!"), and, of course, a "hooker pee tape."  We also won't be surprised if Robert Mueller hasn't been all over it for some time now and knows everything the Russians know about Rump, and how the Russians are using that knowledge to undermine our democracy through their asset.

Who's Obstructing Justice Now? (A Continuing Republican Saga)

(Photo: Alex Wong/ Getty Images)

Why, look, it's the Desiccated Corncob and Huckleberry:
More than a year after Republican leaders promised to investigate Russian interference in the presidential election, two influential Republicans on Friday made the first known congressional criminal referral in connection with the meddling — against one of the people who sought to expose it.
Senator Charles E. Grassley of Iowa, chairman of the Judiciary Committee, and Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, a senior committee member, told the Justice Department they had reason to believe that a former British spy, Christopher Steele, lied to federal authorities about his contacts with reporters regarding information in the dossier, and they urged the department to investigate.
Not sure what the Russians had on Grassley that they turned over to Putin puppet Donald "Rump" Trump, but we're imagining their kompromat on Graham involved sumpin' sumpin' on the down- low. Or, it could just be these are the party- before- country careerist weasels we always knew they were.

File this under "Why Democrats need to take back the Senate in 2018."

BONUS:  Connecticut Democratic Sen. Richard Blumenthal issued this statement in response --
“Sadly, the first major action taken by the Republican majority on the Judiciary Committee seems to be aimed at someone who reported wrongdoing, rather than committed it. This action was taken without any bipartisan cooperation, or even consultation. These vaguely stated, secret allegations seem designed more to distract attention from the priority issues for investigation, and discredit the FBI and other law enforcement,” Blumenthal said.
“One point of indisputable fact is that the FBI’s investigation of Russian interference in our election – and Trump campaign collaboration with it – was triggered by information completely independent from the dossier or Christopher Steele or Fusion GPS. This disappointing step seems to deflect from the genuinely urgent and critical topics of our Committee’s inquiry: Russian meddling in our democracy, Trump campaign collusion with it, and possible obstruction of justice.”
BONUS II:  Kerry Eleveld has a comprehensive accounting of all the Republican f*ckery on this to date.
