Polls: Trump, MAGA Republicans In Big Trouble

Nine months into his second catastrophic regime, and less than a week away from elections in Virginia, New Jersey, and New York City, polls are telling a story of a deeply unpopular presidency and a deeply unpopular MAGA Republican cult.

The Economist's poll on net approval compared with other recent Presidents (underwater 18%):

They also show the MF underwater in every swing state that voted for him and Texas:

Quinnipiac on independents overwhelming support for Democrats (+20):

Gallup on what party voters think is better to keep the country prosperous (Dems +4):

It's becoming more and more apparent to Americans that the Malignant Fascist badly overplayed his autocratic hand at the expense of the economy, their rights, and democracy.   Expect to see some more crumbling of the MAGA movement (already showing up re the Epstein files coverup, tariffs, and the Argentine beef / bailout debacle).  To hasten that, voters need to send a message at every election, town hall, and No Kings event in the future.

American Views Of Russia Tank; Fifth Columnists Scrambling

Keep in mind, this Gallup poll was conducted before Russia invaded Ukraine:

Before the invasion of Ukraine, amid rising tensions between Russia and the West, 52% of Americans see the conflict between Russia and Ukraine as a critical threat to U.S. vital interests. That's a change from 2015, after Russia annexed the Crimean peninsula, when less than half of U.S. adults, 44%, thought it posed that serious a threat.

These data come from Gallup's Feb. 1-17 World Affairs poll, conducted before the Russian government began it's invasion of Ukraine.

Today, as in 2015, essentially equal percentages of Republicans and Democrats are likely to see the conflict as a critical threat to U.S. vital interests. Currently, 56% of Republicans and 61% of Democrats see the conflict as a critical threat.

The American Fifth Column -- the Malignant Loser, his rotted out cultists in Congress, and the right-wing media Wurlitzer exemplified by white nationalist frozen food heir Tucker "Rhymes With Fucker" Carlson -- is increasingly isolated in its reverence for Russia's thugocracy:

Along with rising concern about the threats it poses, Russia's already tattered image in the U.S. has deteriorated further over the past year -- 85% of Americans now view the nation unfavorably while 15% have a positive opinion of it. That's an eight-percentage-point increase in unfavorable ratings from 2021 and is, by far, Russia's worst rating in over three decades. The U.S. public generally held more favorable than unfavorable views of Russia prior to 2014. Since then, Americans have been substantially more likely to view the country negatively, as tensions have increased over Ukraine and Russian interference in U.S. elections.

As public opinion hardens against Russia (thanks almost entirely to thug Putin), we can see the memory- holers on the right scrambling, using their usual tactics of deflection and distraction to try to blame President Biden (!) for the war of aggression (see here and here). Nowhere on the right will you see or hear the name of the Malignant Loser, or how he solicited Russian help in the 2016 election, or how he took Putin's side over U.S. intelligence, or how he tried to withhold armaments from Ukraine in exchange for "dirt" on the Bidens, or how he referred to Putin's invasion strategy as "savvy" and "genius," etc., etc.

Some just try to ignore any complicating facts at all with an insincere invocation --

Zelensky doesn't need the blessing of scrotes like "Gym" Jordan.  It's much too late for that. But we can remember the truth, and keep our Fifth Columnists from distorting or destroying the record of their shameless actions.

Poll: Biden Made America Great Again To The World

It seems the world is happy to see the narcissistic, dimbulb Malignant Loser gone:

Six months into Joe Biden's presidency, approval ratings of U.S. leadership around the world had largely rebounded from the record-low ratings observed during the Trump administration.

A new Gallup report shows that as of early August 2021, across 46 countries and territories, median approval of U.S. leadership stood at 49%. This rating is up from the 30% median approval at the end of Donald Trump's presidency and matches the rating during former President Barack Obama's first year in office in 2009.

However, while the 49% median approval rating for U.S. leadership so far under Biden compares favorably with ratings during the Obama administration, the 36% disapproval rating is also higher than any of those under Obama. Still, disapproval under Biden is seven percentage points lower than the final disapproval rating under Trump -- a record-high 44%.

Only in Benin, Serbia and (wait for it) Russia did ratings go down for the new U.S. leadership. The Malignant Loser will always be Putin's pet puppet.

In conclusion, sanity, competence, decency and stability are more valued abroad than by the 40 percent of Americans in blowhard Dolt 45's cult.  How comforting.

You Can't Fool All Of The People All Of The Time

Just 40 percent (and falling).

Poll Shows Trump Disapproval Rating Climbing (Must Be Fake!)

According to delusional neo- fascist shitgibbon Donald "Rump" Trump, this must be a fake poll because it shows his disapproval ratings climbing to new highs.  Sad!

Poll: Two-Thirds of Americans Dissatisfied With Income Inequality

A new Gallup Poll is showing that two-thirds of Americans are dissatisfied with growing income inequality.  (Note how closely Democrats and Independents track.)  Click to enlarge:

Applying our keen analytical skillz, we're detecting a winning political issue here (that has the benefit of being a highly moral one, too):
Attitudes about the distribution of income and wealth are highly related to partisanship. Republicans, at 45% very or somewhat satisfied, express the highest satisfaction with the current wealth disparity in the U.S. Democrats are much less satisfied, at 24%, with independents closer in satisfaction to Democrats, at 28%. Furthermore, almost half (43%) of Democrats and independents express strong dissatisfaction with the current state of wealth and income distribution.  [our emphasis]
We should also mention the upcoming meeting in March between President Obama and Pope Francis, who has taken a refreshing turn from his two most recent predecessors in aligning himself - and the Church - unequivocally with the poor and against "unfettered capitalism."  That could provide yet another opportunity to highlight the problem of the accelerating income gap between the poor and the super rich (possibly causing the heads of "Sweaty Bill" Donohue, Sean Hannity, Bill O'Reilly, Neil Cavuto and all the other "Catholics" over at Fox "News" to explode).

More Good News for Obama

We noted on Monday that a number of polls showed President Obama leading in several swing states, including Ohio and Florida. Now, a new daily Gallup poll shows an Obama lead of 6 points nationally, seeming to confirm a noticeable shift in other polls. What's significant about this poll is that, along with the Rethug-biased Rasmussen poll, the Gallup poll tends to skew toward Rethugs.

Again, the only polls that count are the one voters go to on November 6, but with only a few weeks left in the campaign, the trends are very favorable to the President's reelection. Many voters seem to have made a decision on who they're voting for, and the "undecideds" appear to be breaking for President Obama. His campaign's focus on Willard "One Percenter" Romney's "47%" comments seem to be cementing the image of him as an out-of-touch, arrogant greed head that has no real interest in middle class issues.

UPDATE: And more good news: Catholics breaking for Obama (so sad, Cardinal Dolan!).

UPDATE II: Good jobs news, too.

A Poll That Won't Be Reported

The flurry of polls over the past two weeks showing Rethugs gaining the advantage over Dems in the 2010 mid-term election got a lot of play by the "mainstream media." It reinforced the meme they've been flogging hard and just can't get enough of: Disaster for Democrats!

Well, maybe not. Gallup has a new generic ballot poll showing the parties dead even at 46% each. Still not the best news for Dems, but then again, we're 8 weeks out from the election, people! We thought we'd share this information with our faithful readers since you won't see it mentioned on the teevee or in the Kaplan Daily. In those venues, it's still Dewey Beats Truman... I mean, Disaster for Democrats!

UPDATE: E.J. Dionne also notes the strange silence of the press about the Dem-friendly poll: runs counter to their story line.

Dumbya's In The Dumps

The Gallup Poll released yesterday has the Presidunce at an all-time low in terms of job approval: 28%.

This should be precisely the percentage of votes John McBush gets in November if voters are paying attention.
