Chimpy Continues To Leak On The Constitution

The most incompetent, corrupt Preznit in U.S. history continues to stonewall on the leak of CIA agent Valerie Plame's identity, in violation of Federal law. Dumbya's already commuted the sentence of Scooter Libby (and will no doubt pardon him in 2009 before he slinks away). His assertion of "executive privilege" in not allowing Attorney General Mukasey to testify in the scandal is a transparent attempt to cover his and Dirty Dick's complicity in outing Ms. Plame, whose husband had the guts to call Bushit out on his State of the Union lie about Iraq seeking uranium from Niger. The lie was part and parcel of the Assministration's campaign to drum up support for invading Iraq, despite the fact that Iraq was not involved in the terrorist attacks on 9-11. Chimpy's main concern now is that he not be fingered as the initiator of the leak; the fact that bin Laden remains at large is of little concern to him.

No Surprise: Dumbya Involved In Plame Case

Media blogs are reporting on the upcoming book by former White House Press Suckertary Scott "I Had My Fingers Crossed" McClellan, in which McClellan states that Dumbya was involved in passing along false information after the leak of CIA official Valerie Plame's identity. McClellan said that he was misinformed by Rove, Libby, White House Chief of Staff Card, Dead Eye Dick, and the Decider himself, and passed on the false story that neither Rove nor Libby were involved in leaking Plame's identity. "I stood at the White House briefing room podium. . .and publically exonerated two of the senior-most aides in the White House. . .", McClellan writes. "There was one problem. It was not true."

That lie was a fairly simple one for the Bushies to concoct. After all, they've had so much practice in seven years.

Nothing to See Here. . .

It's a shame that the Washington Post's Dana Milbank snarkily sees the testimony of Valerie Plame in such a frivolous way. But then again, it's received wisdom at the ComPost's editorial page that 1) Scooter Libby is an all around great public servant, 2) Valerie Plame sent her husband, Ambassador Joseph Wilson, to Niger, 3) Wilson's a blowhard, and 4)there's really no underlying crime in the Plame/CIA/Niger uranium story. It's nothing about the Administration presenting lies in justifying the war in Iraq, nothing about outing a covert CIA official, nothing about continued cover up at the White House in an effort to protect Dead Eye Cheney and the Presidunce. Nothing like that at all. So keep moving, folks, nothing to see here. Nothing.
