McReformer's Campaign Manager Problem

Sen. Maverick McReformer has been raging insincerely over the last 10 days against the "corruption" in Washington and Wall Street, while the lobbying firm of his campaign manager, Rick "Chinless Wonder" Davis, has been collecting hefty lobbying payments from Fannie Mae. Davis' firm, Davis Manafort, has received $345,000 from Fannie Mae since 2006, and collected $15,000 month up until August for access to McReformer.

Interestingly, McReformer's "boiling moralism" (as George Will put it) may cause a revisiting of his history in the "Keating Five" scandal in the '80s, when he tried to assist his benefactor, Charles Keating, in getting looser regulations for Keating's Lincoln Savings and Loan. Let's see where that will go.
