We had to laugh when we saw this take on the threat by Romney fundraiser and Papa John's CEO John "I Shat" Schnatter to raise prices on his "pizzas" to cover increased health care costs for his employees under the Affordable Care Act. The bottom line is that I Shat will charge up to an extra 20 cents for one of his "pizzas" to pay for health care coverage for his employees, in order to protect his shareholders' profits. A WHOLE 20 CENTS!! OUTRAGEOUS!!
Now, if all his employees eat his "pizzas" and end up in the emergency room without health insurance, it'll cost the economy far more than 20 cents per "pizza." We'd say an extra 20 cents is a pretty good deal. An even better deal would be to patronize your local, independent authentic pizza shop and avoid consuming a Papa John's "pizza" altogether.
