Afro-Americans Resented "Jim Crow" Candidacy Of Walker

The Malignant Loser-endorsed candidate for the Senate from Georgia Herschel "How Many Abortions" Walker can return to his home in Texas now, presumably to try to repair his damaged image as a result of his misbegotten run for office. In fact, it wasn't his run, but that of the corrupt and cynical Republican / New Confederate / Forced Birth party that set him up and caused his humiliation. During the runoff period, we saw the ever-despicable cowards Sens. Lindsey "Huckleberry" Graham (Sedition - SC) and "Cancun Ted" Cruz (Sedition-TX) act as bookends the hapless and clueless Walker on TV appearances on Fox and other right-wing propaganda outlets, literally speaking for him as he sat there and looked lost.

Dr. Peniel Joseph of the University of Texas writes about the shameless manipulation of a racist, Trumpist Republican party that clearly doesn't respect the intelligence of African-Americans, as evidenced by putting a totally unfit Walker forward as their candidate:

"I grieve for the parts of America that enthusiastically embraced Walker’s candidacy. Some people are hopelessly unaware of the negative message their support of him sent to millions of Black Americans, who won’t soon forget it.

The GOP embrace of Walker represents an American tragedy. Walker’s behavior on the campaign trail included incoherent ramblings about movies and farm animals, nonsensical asides that went nowhere and dancing in front of overwhelmingly White audiences in bizarre scenes that recalled the minstrel shows of the Jim Crow era. The whiff of the Jim Crow era’s objectification of Black men as intellectually feeble but physically powerful grew stronger as Walker’s humiliating campaign continued to showcase the GOP’s failure to understand or connect with Black voters."  (our emphasis)

They knew of Walker's past abuse of women, his affairs (and probably the abortions he paid for), and pattern of lying about his resume, but given the blessing of the Malignant Loser (who shares some of Walker's sins), they propped him up anyway. As African-American pastor Jamal Bryant said in this angry viral video, Walker wasn't his own man:

Still, Walker came out of the election with more dignity than the Malignant Loser, Graham, Cruz and the rest. He made a decent concession speech, and didn't lie about election fraud, as the aforementioned liars would have done. It may have been a realization that Georgia's 2020 elections were stung by the same cast of clowns, and trying it again wasn't an option. But whatever the reason, at least he can brush the dirt off that they put on him.

Last Night This Morning

ICYMI, Saturday Night Live's cold open last night took aim at lying, woman- beating, befuddled hypocrite Herschel "How Many Abortions" Walker's race for Senator in Georgia against incumbent Sen. Rev. Raphael Warnock. The skit features Kenan Thompson, James Austin Johnson, Cicely Strong, and Mikey Day respectively as Walker, Sens. Mitch McConnell, Marsha Blackburn, and John Cornyn. Walker is his usual nonsensical, delusional self talking about the runoff election ("I'm good at those. My ex-wife says all I do is run off"), and says he's ready to "chew ass and kick bubblegum. And I'm all out of dubblebum." Walker's no joke though, Georgia, so vote on Tuesday, December 6, and keep Sen. Rev. Warnock in the Senate.

Eat Right and Keep Lying About That Abortion

In their debate last night, among a number of howlers and word salads served up by buffoonish Trumpist candidate for the U.S. Senate in Georgia Herschel "How Many Abortions?" Walker was his response to Sen. Rev. Raphael Warnock's comment that Walker opposed capping insulin costs for seniors under Medicare:

“I believe in reducing insulin but at the same time, you gotta eat right. I know many people that’s on insulin. Unless you’re eating right, insulin is doing you no good. So you have to get food prices down and you gotta get gas down so you can go get insulin.”

Hey, Georgians, if we got food and gas prices down, we could drive to the store and all eat right and not need insulin and other medications! (NB -- A healthier diet won't help people with Type 1 diabetes; they need insulin -- at a price they can afford.)

When asked about paying for an abortion in 2009 and asking the same girlfriend to have a second abortion a couple of years later, Walker tripled down on calling the charge lies, despite receipts from the girlfriend from the clinic, a cancelled check from Walker and a get-well card from him as evidence.

In a clownish and obviously practiced moment, Walker, who has repeatedly lied about being in law enforcement, pulled out an honorary badge to counter Sen. Warnock's statement that Walker had lied about his police experience. As he did so, the moderator cut him off and reminded him he was violating the debate's rules against props. His stunt reminded us of a child showing a badge he'd gotten from a cereal box to grownups.

Sen. Warnock is receiving some mild criticism for not being more aggressive and hitting Walker for his many lies and his mockery of family values and violent history. But the debate itself won't change many votes, as Republicans and like-minded "independents" return to whatever person has the "R" by their name on the ballot in November.

QOTD -- Walker's "Religious Crutch"

“I don’t think there’s anywhere in the Bible where it says ‘Have four kids with four different women while you’re with another woman.’ Or where it praises not being a present parent. Or that an abortion is an OK thing to do when it’s not the right time for you, but a terrible thing for anyone else to do when you are running for Senate. He picks and chooses where it’s convenient for him to use that religious crutch.” --  the woman who Herschel "How Many Abortions?" Walker paid to abort his baby (who is the mother of another child of his!), quoted in The Daily Beast.  The revelation that she is the mother of one of his children adds even more credence to her assertion that he paid for an abortion (not that her word should be doubted).

"Pro-Life" Herschel Walker Paid For Girlfriend's Abortion, Son Blasts Him

It seems Georgia Christofascist Republican Senate candidate Herschel "How Many Kids?" Walker had a bad day yesterday:

Republican Senate nominee Herschel Walker has weathered crises that have leveled other campaigns and still remained within striking distance of Democratic incumbent Raphael Warnock thanks to relatively unshakable support from many in the GOP base.

But the one-two punch on Monday of a Daily Beast story that accused Walker of paying for his then-girlfriend’s abortion in 2009 coupled with his adult son’s stunning attacks on his father’s candidacy may pose the greatest threat yet to the Republican’s bid.

Just weeks before the midterm election, the shocking developments have some GOP figures despondent about Walker’s chances of defeating Warnock in a November race that could determine control of the U.S. Senate.

Conservative commentator Erick Erickson said the fallout is “probably a KO” for Walker’s midterm chances. Nicole Rodden, a former Republican House contender, blamed party leaders for backing a candidate who has “cost the GOP the US Senate for a second time.”

On his family's opposition to his run:

The Republican and his allies had a more muted response toward his son Christian [of course] Walker’s claims that his father threatened to kill his family members and entered the race despite opposition from “every single one” of his relatives.

But the Malignant Loser wanted it, so no contest.

Young Walker continues:

Some unresolved issues there.

Never underestimate the willingness of MAGA cult morons to overlook egregious character flaws in their candidates (look no further than the Malignant Loser).  Whether this "one-two" punch will be enough to sink this incompetent, lying, hypocritical, "not that smart" candidate remains to be seen.  He does check all 👆 those boxes for a MAGA cult candidate, after all.

QOTD: Not That Smart

Georgia Republicans' Senate nominee Herschel "How Many Kids?" Walker wants to set the expectations for his debate with Sen. Rev. Raphael Warnock (D) low when he said this: “I’m this country boy, you know. I’m not that smart. And he’s a preacher. He’s a smart man, wears these nice suits. So he is going to show up and embarrass me at the debate Oct. 14, and I’m just waiting to show up and I’m going to do my best.”  Charles Blow gives his rejoinder in the quote of the day:

"Mr. Walker, I believe you when you say that you’re not smart. But intelligence has nothing to do with the size of your hometown or the quality of your suit. You are the personification of a game being played by Georgia Republicans: a wager that any Black Republican — in your case, an empty intellectual vessel — can beat the Black Democrat, a man who is thoroughly qualified and utterly decent.

Walker is Georgia Republicans’ attempt to undermine the image of Black competence, by making a mockery of Black people, by replacing a thinker with a toady. [snip]

Whether Warnock embarrasses Walker or Walker embarrasses himself or there is no embarrassment to be had during the debate is not the point. The point is that Warnock is a serious, competent candidate, and Walker is clearly a tool of his party — a Black former athlete handpicked by Trump to take down a highly educated Black clergyman who was elected by a coalition led by an ascendant Black electorate in the state.

No one on the night of debate — no matter how it unfolds, no matter how much the media sacrifices message to mannerism — can change these truths. When Herschel Walker tells you he’s not that smart, believe him."  (our emphasis)
