The case of disgraced former right-wing Rethug Sen. John "Don Juan" Ensign has now been referred by the Senate Ethics Committee to the Justice Department for possible prosecution. The potential charges? Making false statements, obstruction of justice, and violation of campaign finance laws. As you certainly recall, Ensign, a purported "born-again Christian" (shouldn't that be "bone-again"?), was playing "stuff-the-ballot-box" with former aide Cynthia Hampton when Hampton's hubby (also an Ensign staffer) discovered the affair, followed by the coverup, yada, yada, yada.
