Republicans Kindly Suggest That Rudy STFU

As the Trump-Ukrainian extortion scandal expands, it's obvious that Trump's TV lawyer and deranged conspiracy spinner Rudy "Ghouliani" Giuliani is flailing and failing in his efforts, going so far as to throw Secretary of State Mike Pompeo under the bus over the Ukraine scandal on Fux two days ago. He's long been at the center of the Trump extortion scandal with the Ukrainian government, having been the shadowy muck fabricator that was meeting with Ukrainian officials to extort bogus dirt on former VP Joe Biden and his son Hunter. Those actions, along with felonious con man Donald "Rump" Trump's mob-style "do us a favor" conversation with Ukrainian President Zelensky, are at the heart of the growing scandal. To make matters even more delicious, the corrupt and dishonest Giuliani can't keep his mouth shut and his hideous mug off of TV, as he continues to provide fodder and evidence for the impeachment investigation.

Party-before-country Republicans are increasingly angry about Giuliani, according to reports, with one Rethug lawmaker suggesting that Giuliani "take a vacation" or just disappear from TV so that they can spin their own lies to defend Trump. We fervently want Giuliani to keep digging his hole deeper by stepping up his TV appearances and further incriminate himself, Trump and the enablers around them. That would be patriotic of him.

Bumbling Giuliani Moves Goalposts Again

With a TV lawyer like befuddled Rudy "Ghouliani" Giuliani, Kremlin asset and con man Donald "Rump" Trump may just want to confess to his crimes and resign. The erratic Giuliani opened up yet another can of worms for his corrupt client last night on CNN, where he told the surprised host Chris Cuomo:

"I never said there was no collusion between the campaign, or people in the campaign. I said the President of the United States. There is not a single bit of evidence the President of the United States committed the only crime you can commit here, conspiring with the Russians to hack the DNC."

Giuliani's statement directly contradicts Rump's repeated claim that no one in his campaign colluded with Russia, despite evidence that his own son chaired a meeting with Russian operatives for the purpose of gathering dirt on Hillary Clinton and evidence that campaign manager Paul Manafort provided polling data to Russia via operative Konstantin Kilimnick.

Rump himself claimed "no collusion" with Russia as late as December 10 in his "smocking" gun tweet:

Giuliani Discusses His Mental Condition

Demagogue and pathological liar Donald "Rump" Trump's TV lawyer, bug-eyed slanderer and funny farm-bound Rudy"Ghouliani" Giuliani had an interesting exchange with Fux "media" critic Howie Kurtz today:

Kurtz: “Joe Scarborough, a onetime Republican congressman, said while criticizing some of your comments, ‘His eyes are bulging while he’s talking and he looks disoriented.' Do you feel disoriented, Mr. Mayor?”

Giuliani: “Absolutely, I’m completely disoriented. I’m sure I sound that way. Is there something wrong? Doesn’t this give you an indication, Howie, of how completely disoriented the press is and how out of control they are, not only criticizing the president, but everybody around him....You can disagree with me, but I’m hardly disoriented. I know where I am. I know who I am...." (our emphasis)

Answers: 1) Yes, you are. 2) Yes, you do. 3) Yes, there is. But please don't stop. Ghouliani is a gift to Federal prosecutors and opponents like lawyer Michael Avenatti.

We wonder whether there will be consequences for his dealings with rogue FBI agents in the New York City office, who apparently leaked information to him about the Hillary e-mail kerfuffle shortly before the election. In any case, we hope there's a small padded cell in Ghouliani's future.

Rudy Ghouliani's Latest Unhinged Pronouncements

Be on the lookout! "Commander of Cheese" Donald "Rump" Trump's Roy Cohn wannabe, Rudy "Ghouliani" Giuliani, is on the loose again ...

Paging Dear Leader:

President Donald Trump’s lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, said North Korean leader Kim Jong Un got “on his hands and knees and begged” for their summit to be held after Mr. Trump canceled it last month.  (our emphasis)

The "summit" was cancelled the last time after those "Libya model" insults/ threats from Vice President Mike "Dense" Pence and National Security Advisor John "General Snowball" Bolton drew some caustic remarks from the North Korean side.  This should go over well, too.

At the same event in Tel Aviv (!), Ghouliani made this remark:

“There are a group of 13 highly partisan Democrats who make up the Mueller team, excluding him, and are trying very, very hard to frame him to get him in trouble when he hasn’t done anything wrong,” said Giuliani, who has been serving as Trump’s lawyer amid the Russia scandal.  (our emphasis)

The Ghoul Attacks A Veteran

Of all the disgusting people around corrupt narcissist Donald "Rump" Trump, lying ghoul and bumbler Rudy "Noun, Verb, 9-11" Giuliani is one of the most odious. During the campaign, he was consistently the shrillest and most defamatory voice -- save Rump's -- attacking Hillary Clinton and Dems using lies and fear as his tools. Now, as Rump's comically sinister TV lawyer, Giuliani has plumbed new depths, from his attacks on the legitimacy of the Mueller investigation to smearing patriotic public servants who have spoken out about Rump's corruption, pathological lying and potential treason.

This morning on CNN, Giuliani attacked former CIA Director John Brennan and former Director of National Intelligence and retired Air Force Lieut. General James Clapper:

“You really believe that people like Brennan and Clapper are part of a deep state conspiracy?” Bash asked.

“I don’t know what you want to call it,” Giuliani replied. “But I have no regard for all for Clapper and Brennan. I think they’re two clowns. Clapper is talking about spying, which he doesn’t realize it’s spying on the Trump campaign. He’s [had] an obligation to tell them.”  (emphasis added)

Clapper, who served with great distinction in the Air Force from 1963 to 1995, received the Legion of Merit medal three times, both the Bronze Star and the Air Medal twice for his service in Vietnam. As we prepare to observe Memorial Day, let's contrast James Clapper's service with Giuliani's:

"Giuliani did not serve in the military during the Vietnam War. His conscription was deferred while he was enrolled at Manhattan College and NYU Law. Upon graduation from the latter in 1968, he was classified by the Selective Service System as 1-A (available for military service). He applied for a deferment but was rejected. In 1969, Judge MacMahon wrote a letter to Giuliani's draft board, asking that he be reclassified as 2-A (civilian occupation deferment), because Giuliani, who was a law clerk for MacMahon, was an essential employee. While Clapper was serving his country in war time, draft-dodging Giuliani was pulling strings to avoid service, much like his despicable puppeteer Rump, a.k.a. Cadet Bone Spurs (and "The Dick" Cheney, etc.). Remember this on Memorial Day when you hear the degenerate likes of Giuliani calling a patriot a "clown."

The Overdue Fall Of Rudy Noun Verb 9-11, Cont'd.

One of the most obvious characteristics of Rethuglican politics in the past 30 plus years has been the coarsening of their language, their policies and their leaders. Enabled by hacks like Lee Atwater and Karl Rove, and by a growing "nutwork" of right-wing media, the right-wing Rethug ecological system has given rise to minor league demagogues like Pat Buchanan and Sarah Palin. Now, they may have reached the nadir of nasty in their nominee, sociopathic liar Donald "Rump" Trump.

Rump's bullhorn racism / misogyny / xenophobia has embarrassed traditional Rethug figures, who prefer to use a dog whistle to deliver essentially the same messages. One Rethug, however, has not only stood by Rump in his present decline, but has doubled down on the vitriolic, poisonous rhetoric most often found on far-right blog comment threads: his despicable surrogate Rudy "Noun Verb 9-11" Giuliani. His frothing, almost deranged speeches and remarks are Rump on steroids. For example, his recent line of attack has been to reinforce the bogus "lock her up" mantra of the most fevered Rump supporters. On Philadelphia's WPHT radio,  Rudy 9-11 had this to say this morning:

"When I see (Clinton), I see her in an orange jumpsuit, I'm sorry, or at least a striped one. I'd have prosecuted her a year ago and probably convicted her by now."

So he continues to peddle this garbage, notwithstanding the FBI's investigative report on Secretary Clinton's e-mails which took many months to complete, and which cleared her of any security violations that could result in her prosecution (a report which he falsely claims was "cooked.")

This is the last hope for Rudy 9-11 in political terms. He failed to gain support in his 2008 run for the Presidency after a pathetic campaign, and now he's living vicariously in Rump's reflected orange glow, perhaps hoping for a Cabinet position in a Rump Administration. But at best, he always will be a small man in search of a balcony, looking for a crowd that will listen to his vicious ranting in the twilight of his life.

The Overdue Fall of Rudy Noun Verb 9-11

As we watch the weekly self-immolation of neo-fascist sociopath Donald "Rump" Trump's latest scam campaign, the desperate brazenness of his major surrogates in defending him has reached epic proportions. No amount of spin, smear and lying -- no matter how ridiculously transparent -- is beyond them. However, Rump surrogate and small-man-in-search-of-an-ornate-balcony Rudy "Noun Verb 9-11" Giuliani has come publicly unglued and is in a class by himself.

Over the past few months, starting with his screaming speech at the Rethuglican National Convention, Rudy 9-11 has become the ugly face of Rumpism that we see so often on the Sunday public affairs shows and cable. His willingness to repeat and amplify lies and accusations originating from Rump, and the relish he shows when attempting to bully and lie his way past an interviewer is staggering. His simmering bigotry (his unconstitutional "stop and frisk" policy was aimed at minorities in New York City) has turned to a full boil, most recently when speaking to a group of financial group executives, where his racist, off the cuff remarks about "Mexicans" in the venue's kitchen prompted the group to issue an apology for his behavior to the attendees.

All who recall the images of Rudy 9-11 walking the streets of lower Manhattan with his staff in tow to organize emergency operations after the attack on the World Trade Center should also recall the background story of why there was no emergency operations center for him to go to. There was none, because it was his disastrous decision to site the city's Emergency Operations Center right in the World Trade Center complex, a decision that cost the lives of police, firemen and countless others and hampered rescue efforts. Just remember that when this apoplectic clown talks about others' "judgement."
