Get To Know Tough Talkin' Radio Putz Steve Deace

Just so you know a little more about who the "thought leaders" and "movers and shakers" are in far right- wing hate radio circles, there's a long, must-read profile in the New York Times Magazine on Iowa hate radio nutbag and self- styled "Alpha male," the pasty, pudgy Steve "Douchebag" Deace.   (Rhetorical question: Why do so many of these dipwits look like a one- off Rush Limpballs?)  Here's just a snippet from the profile that reveals, in less than 40 words, why the nationally- syndicated Douchebag might not be quite the hero tough guy he'd like to project:

Rejected by the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Deace went to Michigan State University, flunked out, partied hard, bet excessively on sports and, indebted, fled a threatening bookie back to his grandmother’s house in Des Moines. (our emphasis)

"Hide me, grammy! The mean bookie's going to break my legs!"  "Oh dear, get in the root cellar, Stevie!"

There's some Republican courage, responsibility and accountability for you!

Douchebag has endorsed that other tough- talkin' guy,  the man- with- no- discernible- chin, Sen. "Tailgunner Ted" Cruz.  "Alpha males" have to stick together, you know.

Rage-mouth Limbaugh Booted From Another Station

A California talk radio station, KOWL, has dropped hate radio hack Rush "Limpballs" Limbaugh from its roster, as reported by Media Matters.  The station was clear about why Limpballs was dropped: his toxicity to advertisers.  A statement from the station read, in part:

"Rush has repelled local, regional, and national advertisers from KOWL costing the stations [sic] thousands of dollars in advertisers…..advertisers would rather just avoid the whole station then [sic] take the risk of being associated with Rush's increasingly toxic brand." (emphasis added)

Over the past few years, Limpballs' increasingly vicious act -- his mockery of Michael J. Fox's Parkinson's disease and his disgusting comments about law student Sandra Fluke, for example -- has driven away major advertisers, who know that his unfiltered rage against women and minorities -- indeed, against anyone not on the far-right fringe -- is bad for business.

Porky Pot, Meet Kettle

We see where hate radio's porcine pontificator Rush Limpballs has latched on to the story about Oprah Winfrey's incident in Zurich, Switzerland, where a sales clerk in a high-end boutique refused to show the billionaire Winfrey a pricey handbag.  Limpballs' explanation?

"We don't know that the sales person based her judgment on The Oprah's skin color...Maybe it's because The Oprah's fat? Well that's another -- how was The Oprah dressed? I mean she didn't look like The Oprah obviously. Was she wearing jump suit with tennis shoes? Maybe Air Jordans that weren't laced up?"

Let's see, how many sexist and racial stereotypes does the piggish Limpballs check?  And to refer to Winfrey as "fat."  Does this huge sack of lard have a weight scale or mirror in his house?  Or does the Oxycontin-popping pillhead even care anymore?

140 And Counting....

To date, porcine pill-popping prince of hate radio Rush "Limpballs" Limbaugh has lost a total of 140 advertisers from his noxious radio program, as the fallout continues from his disgusting 3-day attack on Georgetown law student Sandra Fluke. The best news is that these advertisers have also asked that their ads be pulled from other hate radio programs, such as Glenn "Dreck" Beck, Sean "Heil" Hannity, and Michael "Savage Weiner."

These are national advertisers, big companies like Honda, Sam's Club, Lowe's, State Farm, Exxon, etc. The proof of their sincerity will be whether or not they slip back to the programs in a few weeks or not. We'll see, but it's a great blow to the hard-right bigots and misogynists that populate hate radio.

You Won't See This On Network News

That's because Pills Limpballs seems to be off-limits for analysis as an instigator of potential white on black violence. Several days ago, the Drugster featured a story on his hate radio program about a white kid that was roughed up by several black kids in Bellevue, IL. The police stated that race was not involved as a motive in the tussle, but Pills knows better. "We need segregated buses," Pills raged, because this is what whites kids can expect in "Obama's America." Not known is whether Pills was high on Oxycontin or airplane glue at the time of the rant, but he got the attention of some neo-Nazi thugs calling themselves the "National Socialist Movement" who proceeded to organize a march in Bellevue for "white civil rights" and to shout racist slogans.

Pills seems immune from criticism by the "journalists" on CNN and the major networks, who marvel at his audience of dittoheads and figure that he must be on to something in "America's heartland." At a recent appearance on the Leno show, Pills yukked it up with Leno about their diets and general nonsense. Maybe it will take a dittohead's violent action to put the focus on the source of the malevolence, but it hasn't happened yet.

A Weiner Gets Cut

A bris? Only metaphorically. Hate radio's Michael "Savage" Weiner has been cut from his flagship San Francisco station, Talk Radio 910 KNEW. Apparently the station wants to go in a new "ideological" direction, and the "Savage Nation" doesn't fit their plans. Would that more stations would drop this sorry sack of scheiss.

Another Right-Wing Terrorist

Earlier this afternoon, a right wing extremist fired shots in the Holocaust Museum in Washington, DC. The shooter, James Von Brunn, had a previous arrest record for anti-government activities, and has a white-supremacist website.

Again, recall the report by the Department of Homeland Security earlier this year that warned about right-wing extremists acting out their rage, especially now that an African-American is President. They are being spurred on by very loose and inflamatory hate speech by wingnut radio, Fux News, and Rethug politicians. Time to crack down?

UPDATE: Think Progress has information about Brunn being one of those "Obama's birth certificate is missing" crazies, who was cited (until the shooting) by the popular crackpot right-wing blog "Free Republic."

Don't Hate Me Just 'Cause I Hate!

There's some internecine warfare brewing among the wingnut hate radio crowd: far right nutbag Michael "The Savage" Weiner attacked both Bill O'Liely and Pills Limpballs for failing to come to his defense over the Savage Weiner's recent barring from entering the United Kingdom because of his hate speech. Calling Limpballs "the biggest disappointment of all," the Savage Weiner proceeds to label Limpballs as "the biggest fraud" and as someone who's "in it for nobody but himself." Well, yeah. And it took you how long to notice that? Oh, we forgot, you're rather self-absorbed yourself.

It's My Party, And I'll Cry If I Want To

The Colbert Report has a nice summary of why Rush "Pills" Limpballs is now the de facto leader of the Rethuglican Party. All of the party's luminaries are bowing and kissing Pills' ring, and declaring him "the voice of millions" of . . . .
ditto heads? angry white guys? wingnuts? YES! The shrinking Rethuglican Party has it's leader! More power to him!!
