Trump Rearranges Turds On His Sinking Garbage Scow (UPDATED)

The garbage scow S.S. Trump (otherwise known as his "campaign") is sinking fast:

Donald Trump restructured his campaign leadership Tuesday in a desperate attempt to turn around his flagging presidential bid. 

The GOP nominee hired Steve Bannon, executive chairman of the conservative website Breitbart News, to be his campaign CEO and named Kellyanne Conway, a Republican pollster and Trump team adviser, as his new campaign manager.

That seemingly leaves Trump's fellow Putin poodle and fixer Paul Manafort odd man (and we do mean odd) out.  Sad!

And why Bannon and Conway?  This sounds about right:

Trump’s stunning decision effectively ended the months-long push by campaign chairman Paul Manafort to moderate Trump’s presentation and pitch for the general election. And it sent a signal, perhaps more clearly than ever, that the real-estate magnate intends to finish this race on his own terms, with friends who share his instincts at his side.  (our emphasis)

When you have an uncontrollable, narcissistic egomaniac at the top, his "instincts" are always going to prevail, and he's going to impose them on his organization because he thinks he's the only smart one in the room.  What he's doing here is what he would do should he ever get into the Oval Office. That should be yet another flag for his enablers in Congress who think he'll be at their disposal.

David Horowitz' "Renegade Jew" Rhetoric

Frothing far right racist loon David Horowitz craves attention and has never been shy about sharing his noxious views.   The most recent example of that comes in a headline and article in pro- Trump puke funnel Breitbart "News", where the odious Horowitz joins the Stormtrumper legions in taking aim at one of the most outspoken members of the #NeverTrump movement, the Weekly Standard's neo-con demeritus "Wee Willy" Kristol, using a foul term to describe him:

The term “Renegade Jew“ trended on Twitter on Sunday night after a Breitbart article used the phrase to describe conservative commentator William Kristol.

“Bill Kristol: Republican Spoiler, Renegade Jew Prepares Third Party Effort to block Trump’s Path to White House,” read the headline of the article by Jewish writer David Horowitz.

On a more serious level, Frances Langum draws the connection between the Horowitz rhetoric and the kind of racist, virulent anti- Semitic drool coming from rabid Trump supporters.  We're clearly no fans of Wee Willy, but defining a right- wing Jew's opposition to the neo- fascist Trump as "renegade" is so far beyond the pale that it deserves all the mockery and outrage that it's getting.

Turmoil At "Trump's Personal Pravda" (UPDATED)

Michelle Fields, the "reporter" for right- wing, pro- Donald "Rump" Trump propaganda outlet Breitbart "News" who was (allegedly!) roughed up by the campaign manager for Rump, Corey Lewandowski, has resigned as has our wanker buddy, Little Ben Shapiro, the rag's "editor at large" (given Ben's size, that had to be the best punning job title evah!).  In case you hadn't followed the story, here's a little (sorry Ben) background:

Breitbart has been riven by internal strife in recent days after Trump’s campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski, allegedly grabbed Fields and yanked her away from Trump as she was attempting to ask him a question after a press conference in Florida. The Trump campaign denied the incident, despite considerable evidence to the contrary.

Breitbart published a story casting doubt on Fields’ account, appearing to side with the Trump campaign over their own reporter. Joel Pollak, a senior editor-at-large at the organization, ordered staffers to stop defending Fields. One source with knowledge of the situation said some staffers who publicly defended Fields had been threatened with firing.

Here's Fields' full statement:

“Today I informed the management at Breitbart News of my immediate resignation.  I do not believe Breitbart News has adequately stood by me during the events of the past week and because of that I believe it is now best for us to part ways.” 

Now Little Ben's statement, delivered in his trademark breathless style:

“Andrew’s [founder Andrew "Not So" Breitbart] life mission has been betrayed,” Shapiro wrote. “Indeed, Breitbart News, under the chairmanship of Steve Bannon, has put a stake through the heart of Andrew’s legacy. In my opinion, Steve Bannon is a bully, and has sold out Andrew’s mission in order to back another bully, Donald Trump; he has shaped the company into Trump’s personal Pravda, to the extent that he abandoned and undercut his own reporter, Breitbart News’ Michelle Fields, in order to protect Trump’s bully campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski, who allegedly assaulted Michelle.”

We would be sympathetic to these two had they not come late to their realization that the organization that's been paying their salaries is a rotten shell dedicated to disseminating the most vile lies and conspiracy theories, not to mention its "close ties" with that neo- fascist buffoon Rump (reports are Rump has provided "financial consideration" to the Breitbart operation).  Hey, you lay down with dogs, you get up with fleas.
